The explanatory panel in the Aroma Room describes the primary aromas, that is, those specific to the grape variety itself, the secondary aromas, which are those derived from fermentation of the musts and their transformation into wine, and lastly, the tertiary aromas which are those that develop during the oak and bottle ageing of the wine.
To gain a deeper knowledge of the different aromas of wine, they have been classed in nine groups: fruity, floral, vegetative or herbaceous, lactic, chemical, animal, balsamic, spicy, as well as a variety of aromas that are “defects” that can be found in wine.
The Aroma Room offers a stroll through the world of wine. These educational, interactive facilities invite visitors to exercise their senses and to memorise aromas and smells that will allow them to discover and enjoy each wine, each nuance and sensation.
The aromas, accompanied by additional visual and informative material encourage visitor interactivity.
