The Belasco Family’s dream of expanding its name in the world of wine led them all the way to Mendoza, Argentina, one of the world’s leading venues in quality wine making.
Having acquired magnificent vineyards in 1910, thus assuring a supply of perfect base material, which is the cornerstone of all projects, the next step was the construction of its winery at the foot of the Andes, more precisely at Alto Agrelo, Luján de Cuyo, the Malbec area par excellence.
The Belasco de Baquedano winery is surrounded by 70 hectares of Malbec variety vineyards and equipped with the latest technology.
And in this way, the Belasco de Baquedano project came to fruition in the year 2004, when its first Argentinean wines were presented, which have since gone on to win top international awards as one of the best Malbecs from Argentina.
The Belasco Family has thus become the sixth Spanish producer of still wines to settle in Latin America’s premium wine region.
